A Summer's Picnic with Details
On an early summer's day
we drove along on a gravel road
in the month of june, which comes after may
we drove for miles and miles, from our zip code
in the jeep was just my love and i
far back into the country, we laughed, we rode
where the summer sun plays in the big blue sky
where the cool rivers flow and flow, we happily rode
brought my camera for a few pics,
in the sweet summer sun- some cool pics
wildflowers, buttercups and dandelion pictures
bringing back some just for my friends, plus my sisters
then a lone horse by a fence, no two
then "oh wow look! it's a field of jersey cows! "
we zoomed past the cornfields, where the crows flew
past the bright red barn and the old country house too
finally our favourite spot- the old mill pond
our picnic with a fabulous show
so enchanting, the peacocks dance for the blond
just wonder who she chooses, to be her beau
she- the blond white queen with big blue eyes
so happy, this enchanting scene we didn't miss
we snap, snap, snap pics- before she flies
oh so, enjoyed this day and my love's thrilling kiss
