From Eve's Perspective

It was not through choice
That I was fashioned from his rib.
He was the one with need of me.
And, it was not by choice
Where I would live.
HE saw to that
And, so, it would be.
Then a name was given to me,
And from that day forth, I was Eve.

It was from then on
That we dwelt in the garden.
The flowers in my hair
Went unnoticed.
My sparkling eyes
He did not see.

It was in innocence, I was tempted
Through smooth, cool, crispy, red and golden skin.
I took a bite and let a torrent
Of juices run,
Splattering in directions, dribbling down my
Neck and chin.
Quenching a thirst in me.

And after a bite
He noticed me.

And I knew passion
And pain and fear.
And I thought,
'Adam, why did you wish for me! '
And, I thought
'Dear God, what has happened to me..'
'Who is this new woman, that I have unleashed? '

But at night
Under the stars
When I lay in his arms
And he looked at me
I saw
That
He finally did see
And, that, was paradise enough for me.
