Closer To The Sun
The colors fell slowly
on to the rusted Earth
for yet another day went by
with a mischievous smile
Lightly inhaling the incense of life, paused
took the safe exit, for it was worth the wait!
Alas! Wish every moment I'd be
a tender lullaby in your ears
a soft murmur beside you
a shadow that follows… Sigh!
Stirred from my sleep and you winked, Smiles
fell upon the darkness and you lit me up, literally!
With slightly trembling wings
like a new-born butterfly
rises from its cocoon, I
I started flying…
All I needed was just another unexpected eclipse
surviving the dreams, just to get closer to the Sun...
