Yesterday
Yesterday, you were only a whisper away
But fearing that the meaning of love might only be lost in the air
Words remained unspoken
Till you became a thousand yesterdays away
So near you were, only an arm within my reach
And yet so far, I could'nt hold even your fingertips
Now you are near only by memories
I wish someday I would be near your heart
Though I know I could be near you only as close as I held you in my eyes
Until again you are so many thousand yesterdays away
