A Lazy Afternoon
Beneath a blue summer’s sky
I lay in a thick carpet of grass
looking at the wispy clouds,
as they slowly drifted pass.
I became lost in that moment
and was absorbed by the day.
A warm breeze kissed my body,
which took me further away.
I was floating in the heavens
whilst birds sang their song.
This was a vision of paradise,
as sure as the day was long.
