November

November;

One of those months
caught in the middle
between two seasons

Split down
into two's
Like daylight
and darkness

'Always feels like home
in twilight,
and just before the dawn
before the birds song'

A time that never lasted
too long

November is warm
thunderstorms at night...
frozen water at dawn.

Sullen lead gray mornings
swallowed by the cold
empty afternoon's sunshine.

November then slumbers with
it's blanket of darkness
in frozen silence

no solace...just solitude
