Not Burning Bridges
I came to that bridge
that so many had crossed
before...
I started pulling up the planks
cause I was the last one
to be going on before
But I wasn't burning bridges
stead I was taking
them with me
Moses passed me coming down the mount
while I was ascending
'Morning, 'he said, 'Morning, 'I replied
I've always wanted to go to
the dark side of the moon
to see all that I've never seen
I've always wanted to kiss a tornado
and dance with a hurricane
slap lightning and hug thunder
But never have I tempted
winter's long
cold slumber
