Calming the mind! ! ! !
The high tide
Washed away my footprints
On the beach
I gazed
From atop
A rock…
What will it take
To wipe clean my mind,
Of passions that
Arouse and hound?
More than a wash cloth,
I used, to clean the slate
As a child,
When some one scribbled
That I didn’t like…
I wish
I could unplug
The power supply
that feeds on my mind...
Recall, how I would
Hide in the folds
Of my mother's saree
When a storm raged
And lightening struck,
feeling safe.
I know, this too
Shall pass.
After a stone is thrown
in water, ripples do settle.
What would life be
If one didn't grow,
And learn to go home
to oneself...
