Your Angel
You said I was your angel.
It had to do with the wonderful way I made you feel.
I do not think I am an angel.
If I am an angel its only because Gods work is real.
I can't wake up from a dream that's real.
God took this bitter heart and made it heal.
God is the only one who can make me care about people.
He has been working in my life since I was little.
You know I may slip and slide but God is there too keep me from
falling in the tide.
In his strength I shall hide.
Making up my mind has nothing to do with pride.
My soul could not keep the hurt all inside.
This angel is human after all.
You do not know how much I cried.
All I can say is that I tried.
It doesn't mean that I didn't love you at all.
I am sorry I can't be your angel.
Please try to find a more perfect angel.
Maybe she will take away the pain you feel.
Or maybe my emotions were just a game that you liked to play.
I need you to know that I forgive you any way.
An angel would not be thinking this way.
An angel would not make mistakes everyday.
God has marked me with his seal.
I can't make you believe that God is real.
Only God can change your heart.
I have tried and it has torn me apart.
God has pieced me back together.
God will be with those who believe in him forever.
