The Heart

Its been ____ years since we met
And its been the best time yet.
Little did I know at the time
How I would struggle to make you mine.
We have had our ups and downs
But we have a love profound.
We had struggled at times
To keep our heads above water.
But love has no control or type of order.
But! There is nothing in this world
That can fill my heart as you do
And I want to spend my life with you.
The world around me may crumble to the ground
But with you, a life I found.
So I walk to you with my heart in my hand
For this may be our final stand.
