Married Yesterday
She is at ease with her self
tugs at her bra strap unconsciously
looks at your mouth when you talk
stands on tip-toe to make her points
takes deep breaths easily at surprise,
takes up the entire room with her smile
is unconscious of how beautiful she is
does not hesitate to get on the floor
for animals and kids,
keeps her money in her bosom,
would ask you to oil her back
because she has dry skin;
calls everyone honey,
touches your face
when she talks to you;
laughs at your bad jokes
plays baseball;
watches football and tennis;
President of the PTA;
sells more Girl Scout cookies
than the 13 year olds,
sings in the choir
waits tables
does real estate;
married my son yesterday
became my first daughter-in-law
couldn't be happier
to have her in the family.
