Freed and Relieved
People who have become duped,
By exaggerations told...
Are not convinced,
Until time has passed...
And they have been fenced in,
To defend that which they have endorsed.
And of course,
A remorse to feel is kept...
With a keeping of their anger.
Acknowledging,
They only have themselves to blame.
And those they've shamed by defaming...
Haven't changed.
They are the ones feeling freed and relieved,
To have kept their peace of mind at a distance.
