In her face I discern
In her face I discern
my sorrow and love
In her eyes I burn
My soul away
For I lost myself
In her countenance deep
In her heart I stay
For her heart keep
My ashes and dust
To gray her heart
And love she must
For one we art.
I have lost myself
And love attained
But love did bane
My soul away
Better to be her ash and dust
Than be me
A nothing without her beauty
So in her heart I did entrust
all that was in me
For in her I could be
the love I discern
and those eyes that ardently burn
