It's On It's Way Again!

Shops packed
stress levels high
presents to get
prices sky high.
Kids wanting this
and asking for that
don't forget the Dog
and Tiddles the Cat.
Aftershave and Perfume
socks for the Feet
they'll do nicely
for old Uncle Pete.
Hoping for Snow
so the kids can play
but it usually rains
the whole of the day.
Christmas is for Children
is what we like to say
but what a palaver
all for just one day.
Still it's only once a year
and an excuse to get fat
so eat, drink, and be merry,
and give thanks to God for that!
