Play With Fire

I gave up,
up on you,
because you,
hurt me badly.

What's the point,
in trying for,
something that will,
hurt me?

like they say,
'don't play with fire,
for if you do,
you'll get burnt.'

They were right,
I see it now,
so I give up,
I've been burnt enough.

You say that,
you were hurt too,
but I don't see,
your burn marks.
