Birthday Twinkle
The years pass by
Without even giving it a try
Without pushing it to the limits
And you wonder why
You feel older.
The veneer chips away
Soon you can’t hide
What is inside
An empty chest or a treasure trove
Surprise the spry second
With strength, happiness and love
And of birthdays, you'll be fond
