Perfect at my lowest
Hungover
and pissed
you can see
the veins
in my wrist
wrecked
from alcohol
This is a new day
a new beginning
but it starts with
a dead end
and grows
To studder
charming words
To smile
in a half ass way
'I'm having a good time'
a default response
which persistantly
displays
Life's little game
I play
with a handicap
others use
as an excuse
to call in
But I
embrace it
and use it
in an 'Underdog'
sort of way
I have mastered
this art
that all
prefer to avoid
I am good at
being less
than
one hundred
percent
Probably because
I don't live
with a mask
