Winter Rose
Can words break through steel midnight
Protected in thorns of moonlight
Satin trance, the wet dew of paradise
Radiate wisdom by sands of the sea
Palm tree dreams without immortality
Something new, golden, enchanting
Rivers of madness flow like blood
Aloof pleasure decadent and strange
Lovers need mystic lavender oceans
Sail the awkward dimension of art
Narrow channels where islands hide
Romance is a vision of world peace
Nothing touches the eternal well
She dances on images of the tragic
Victorian mansions without dawn
Everything seems split and vain
Marooned with nothing but illusions
We reach for one another's mask
The wind has died down
Clouds ruffle the blue day
Sparrows dart in the tall pines
Windows fill with a new timely frost
Years pass like forgotten ghost ships
Give me meaning in your dark kiss
She is a winter rose under the snow
