Eve of the night

Storm.
Merciless and powerful.
As my pain.
Once again.

You came.
A friend.
Uninvited and strange.
To keep me company tonight.

So I watch...
I listen, to your melody.
For there is an unexplainable harmony.
Between us.

My isolation.
Darkness.
Rain, wind.
Coming, of twilight.

Perhaps it is the mood, we share.
Uncontrollable.
Powerful and bare.
Or just an illusion.

Like many things past - And present.

But it helps me, to think.
Plan and to endure.
My depression and doubt.
In hope of a future, happiness.

Love - Possibly even gain.

For we are given but a spoonful.
Of luck and strength.
To last a journey long.
Uncertain, full of pain.

Where it'll lead,
I do not know.
What to do?
Here and now.

To face a future.
Still unknown.
These thoughts, I bear.
And fear.

For I wonder and doubt.
The purpose.
Of life, I have.
Its mere existence.

So, night decending.
In darkness I dream.
Fantasize, of hope.
Share my thought.

Alone, with you.
Eve of the night...
