Lucifer's Final Confession
Tears rain from the heavens
My decent is so steep
I feel so exhausted
I just couldn't sleep
I wanted to run
But no one would let me
Though I'm not blind
I just couldn't see
The higher you are
The further you fall
I was most high up
The most, I recall
I screamed all the way down
And pleaded for mercy
I am now below ground
For that's where I must be
I am Morgenstern, Lucifer
The devil himself
I wished to be more than this
Nothing less, nothing else
I asked for forgiveness
I rescinded my ways
But He just threw me out
There was nothing to say
Now I work through my minions
For here I must stay
I wait for forever
Or until my last day
I have lost all hope
There's nothing left now
As I sit on my throne
Made of naught but a vow
I might rest here forever
For there is nowhere to be
There's nothing I want more
Than for God to want me
I'll get rid of the darkness
For I see the light
I will destroy myself
And end this endless night
