Vision of Death
In a cold frost covered land
at the heights of creation
white sheets yellow gold
faded urine stains
a red marker an unfinished book of poems
a love letter signed forgiveness
ash spilt upon the carpet tar stains upon the lungs
death scratching his head under grey hood
at a post war park bench
playing chess with a graying old man
the old man scratching his beard
together locked in a stale mate
