Summer's Perennial Sundae
Summer's perennial sundae:
smile melting under June's warm moon.
At times I become a messy faced child,
my budding head ripe with dirty thoughts.
Tongue savory carnal crave
Guilt free sensual indulgence
Not wanting to allow the moment to suddenly melt,
(seeing myself drown in vanilla's sorrowful puddles on the floor)
I summon winter and all its icy preserve,
in order
to freeze that carefree cherry that sits,
fluffing the creamy pillows between us.
