Heavenly Fire Enshrined in the Heat and Mind
Spoils of staged seduction
Boredom a sedative smoke screen
wandering twisted madhouse of
withering depth perception
Fucked up until the day we're found
whiskey bottle empty
passed out beneath the willow tree
staying in one place for too long
only worsens pain
dna distills an alchemy of
animal passions and ancestral spirit
senses drowned in an piscine
orgy of naked energies
and eyes groping endlessly
bodies and desire swimming in an
infinite visceral ocean of
fornicating stimuli
mental mirror masturbation
visual orgasms manifest and multiply
always pacing the mind tracing fairy circles
always too much never more than enough
brief life worth every breath
reluctant to ever let go
can't leave can never walk away
restless déjà vu reoccurring
day after day
tunneling darkness
dreamers giving chase
glint of light chance escape
shadows navigating mirage
Fortuna's satisfaction hitch hiking
Indian summer highway
children passing in season weathering
plummeting temperatures grueling grey skies
in place of peace
only emptiness exists
to numb the pain
fears and desires fabricated
lies between loosely knit lines
forgetting what we found
never fully realizing what we had
all we gained all we took for granted
feeling myself no longer possessing
the energy effort requires
carrying out the daily work life demands
dragged along for the ride
watching the antics and escapades
from my window the world passing by
forcing myself to smile
partaking in small pleasures
friendships and highs
darkness delivering peace of mind
laziness becomes my salvation once again
restores my faith in the great nothingness
continues to hollow out my being
until made indifferent to everything
the ups and downs
what comes and goes
harrowing storm cycles
tragedy and triumph
harkening the heroes trumpet
life continuously breaks beings
todays storm shattering
yesterdays forecasted expectations
subtle bodies rebuilt in
nacreous clouds of loving light
strength demands suffering's nadir endured
wisdom's wine stronger with time
forever living always dying
flesh to phantom corpse to compost
every existing moment passes eternal memory
