A Wine Quiesced
You…the lipstick
on my glass...
‘O bottomless eyes
drink to me only
breathe me, yes
sip my wine….
why the pause…
what left those
wet dark eyes
why withdraw into
that safe shadowed shell
your riddled worlds
of secrecy… veiled
un-promised
yet ever inviting
a tentative swirl
my wine
lowered
un-tasted
similitude
left you
dry…longing…
no…
don't wipe it off
delicate fingers
trailed…
a lingering
pause…
a glass
kissed…
a wine
quiesced…
