Lifting the Veil (The Threat To Mankind)

What good is looking back on things that have occurred?
We never seem to learn from lessons we have heard.
Can't we just focus on a future filled with love?
Can't we learn forgiveness? 'Cause when push comes to shove

that's the only way we've a chance to survive
all this human tragedy that's being kept alive
by hatred, distrust and resentment in the heart.
It's tearing at the fabric of which we are a part.

The threat that's coming is coming for us all.
The threat's not from mankind.
That's not how we will fall.
We'll fall because the enemy we're facing's built a wall.
But before we can climb it, we will have to crawl.

Humans have been tricked into a belief that we're alone.
How this has happened is a story that's unknown.
The masses believe that our enemy is man.
This is not the truth ever since the world began.

Man has pitted one against the other.
Remember the song, 'He's my Brother'?
Keep these words foremost in your mind.
The enemy we have is of another kind.

It's the kind that plays behind the scenes everyday.
The scenes we can't see. Our veils are in the way.
What an ingenius design to keep us caged in,
teaching us we were born with original sin.

The only sin there's ever been is allowing this to continue.
The soul of man must find its home on an avenue
that's righteous and searching for ways to lift the veil
to discover what's behind this, so mankind can prevail.
