What is this life...
What is this life?
If full of care.
We have no time,
To stand and stare.
No time to dream.
No time to hope.
Life is passing by,
Faster than I can cope.
No time to see,
Dreams in the day.
And plan my future,
Shape it my way.
No time to watch,
Myself grow into a woman.
Burdened by expectations,
I am always on the run.
No time to admire,
The starry night.
I sit in a room,
Where my thoughts cannot take flight.
I yearn for the window,
Through which I could peek.
Catch a glimpse of the world,
I desperately seek.
