Someone smart
Someone polished
Someone who has pride
One who can make
Time disappear
Won't take me for a ride

Someone happy
Content & ambitious
Someone who values time
Someone who can
Sweep me off my feet
Make my heart sublime.

Someone solid
Dependable, responsible
Someone I look upto
Someone to hold my hand
And lead me forward
Who I never want to bid ado

Someone with drive
Who reaches out for the skies
Yet anchored to the ground
Someone considerate
Who can be part of my family
Without elbowing around

Someone who can rise to all occasions
One who will celebrate me
And expect the same
Someone I would feel
Like matching upto
Someone who will become my name

Someone who would
Like to grow old with me
Without finding it mundane
Someone with whom
I will cherish life
Share my joy & pain.

It's a bit too much
I do agree
But what's wrong in wishing
I know how
To make my peace
With what fate's dishing

It's taken me long to figure what I want
I am still a novice
If writing it down can clear my mind
Then this is my device.
