Farewell to friends

Dedicated to all the friends in the world and the seven wonders of my world!

Here I met some great new friends,
who knew me right away.
It was funny how they understood,
All I had to say.

They listened to my problems,
They listened to my dreams.
We talked about love and life,
They had been there too, it seems.

I never once felt judged by them.
They knew exactly how I felt.
They just seemed to accept me,
And all the problems I had been dealt.

They never once interrupted me,
Or need to have their say.
They stood by patiently,
And didn't go away.

I want them to understand,
How much they mean to me.
As if a caged bird,
With love, they had suddenly set free.

What more to say.
The words seem so dry.
As soon as the sem ends,
Away we all shall fly.

It is so sad,
yet so true.
Meeting and departing,
are a part of life's brew.

We met just now,
But the friendship grew.
Life started a picture,
Which we, as a team, drew.

I hope this continues,
for the coming years too.
You cherish me,
And I cherish you.
