Even one is company
I sit alone
The day goes by
Between breakfast and dinner
Time flies
I don't feel time anymore
It does not pass
It seems to dash right across
I don't feel lonely
I don't feel sad
I don't have the symptoms
Of living alone
I seem to be just fine
On my own
I don't know what fills the vacuum
Or even the absence of presence
I seem to be vaccinated
Against loneliness
I should long for company
To talk, to laugh, to have fun with
How can I enjoy movies
With just one ticket?
Most would be happy
To be in my state
But my abnormality
Keeps me awake.
