It s Time To Write Your Birth Day Poem

I couldn't Let June Go by

without a word of honor for your birth

Origins are hard I know

just ask Darwin

everyone thought he made it up

He thought the old story was fable too

Maybe the hows and whos are simply for the birds

What matters is you're here and you are

amazing....that's all I have to say.

Glad I knew you for that time

and if we never speak again

I'll go to the dirt room thinking

kindly of you...whispering 'my friend'

wish I could have made it work

I'm as broken as this poem

I don't think you'll find it

but it is here for you all the same
