Wondering
i wonder why the past
goes by so fast
and why times ahead
are times i dread
i wonder why the world around us
makes such a fuss
over all the trivial things
fancy cars, diamond rings
when the real heart of the matter is
we can live without all this
and all that we really need
is love, hope, and helping those in need
so what i'm wondering is this
can't we make this world a better place? i wish.
