It’s him and you
I don’t know
What to do…
He tugs me
With his positivism
His hopes and wishes
For me…
And yet if love was all
About being positive,
I would have loved him,
Not you.
It’s him and you
I don’t know
What to do…
See my future in him.
He’s been there for me
With all his smiles…
With tears, he bares his
Soul to me, how much
He aches for me…
How much he loves me.
I try not to get carried away.
But you see, I am a human.
His emotions pull me
And my heart feels ~
He is being true to me.
And yet there is something
About you, that doesn’t let me
Leave you.
So it’s him and you -
I don’t know what to do.
No, I don’t love you
Anymore. The pain
Prevails more than ever before,
And yet when you talk of being
Down and depressed,
In your moments of suffering,
I forget the past - of how
I suffered with you....
All those memories fade away
When you talk of your misery,
It is as if you need me to be there
For you, but then I don’t know.
He would tell me, that I’m again
Going the wrong way....
Once bitten, twice shy.
I should back off from you.
He always cautions me,
Not to trust you, in case if I get
Flirted again into that trap
Of deception and left with
Desperate tears of dejection.
I know he cares for me,
I know he wants me safe.
I know he feels for me…
And yet it’s him and you,
I don’t know what to do…
God, show me the way
Who do I leave?
With whom I stay?
He cannot accept me with you.
He loves me too much
To share with you.
He needs me more than you do.
Only if I knew,
How to get over you
And my past with you
I would go to him
With open arms....
To let him know -
Yes, I am there for him
Always….without you.
