Ego
All the Ego
He had built
Over the years
By demeaning others
Decimating others
Silencing others -
Undermining others
Negating them
Forgetting them
Overriding them
Overtaking them
All that Ego
Of his hard-hitting
Efforts…
Got destroyed
In a jiffy -
When the earth
Attacked him
Jolted him -
Oscillated him
By shaking him
Violently with its
Mighty tremors -
Plunging him down
Into dungeons of
Mortality.
Being blown away
Like a feather
He remained -
A mute spectator
To the earthquake's
Egotistic cruelty…
