Pep Talk
How dare I
feel sorry for myself?
My trials are so small,
so insignificant
beside the agony
so many others
must survive.
Do not all men struggle?
Already so blessed,
my arrogant, self pity
is the height of
insensitivity.
The time has past
for the luxury of tears.
I must dry my eyes
and live on.
