THE POETRY OF GREATER MINDS AND MIXED PROMISES
The poetry of greater minds and mixed promises
Of things as they were long before I appeared on the scene,
The poetry of other dimensions and other universes
Was like almost all of reality
Too far from me to ever touch-
There are worlds of worlds of worlds
And we are the ants of antiquity
Crawling our hurried way
With small morsels
That seem everything to us
While above us
Armies of more massive minds
Thunder their theories forth
Quaking our small missions
To oblivion.
