THE POEM IS AN ESCAPE INTO SANITY
The Poem is an escape into Sanity
Against the unrelenting demands
Of a life which knows not what it is.
The Poem is a way out
For a time
From all that says ‘no’ and ‘not’ in one’s own private mess.
The Poem is a tiny bit of meaning
Rescuing the poet from his own eternal meaninglessness
The Poem is this minute now
After a day- long driving myself crazy over
‘Gornisht’.
