THE NIGHT SHOULD WRITE A POEM
The night should write a poem
The mere ‘look’ of it
The lights- the different depths of darkness-
The night should write a poem
But tonight
The heat
The windlessness
The ugly close black sky,
All say that
Even the simple seen world
Cannot always answer
Our longing.
