The Last Star?
THE LAST STAR?
Is there a last star
We will be able to see the light of
Far far away-
Before all goes black?
Or will we gone by then?
Already dimmed-
Somewhere in the middle
Of the Universe’s long dying?
A last star to ourselves
A minor light gone out forever
Unchanging the greater conglomerations
Of fire and dust and death
The like of which
We once came from?
