To My Students
with all of you
i have found a family
on a sincere dedication
to teach
i have felt compassion
a belonging
beyond the scope of things
beyond those unblinking eyes
like mouths opening
hungry for knowledge
i have found love
with all of you
how can i be alone?
with all of you
i have felt the confirmation
the worth and meaning
of my own
existence
beyond all these
i have confessed to God
there is meaning.
