The Ritual
the ritual is simple
a little bird is
trapped in the fingers
of your hand
you decide
to open your fingers
and let free
the little bird
it is you
on that little moment
on that ritual
that has been
set free
you inhale
and then exhale
and feel
a relief
deep in the chamber
of your heart
where your
soul sings
