The Refusal to Use the Nouns
the Malayan writes
admirable poetry and
becomes a favorite
there are messages
of friendship
and after a while
an invitation is made
for a meeting
the one concerned
whoever that is
refused
saying that the face
or the body is not
as beautiful as the
poems
and there is a standing
respect for the verb
disregarding the
identities of the nouns
or the substituting
pronouns
one must only exclaim
without knowing
why...
