The Dog That Is On Heat
you cannot leash a dog that is on heat
that would be a lot of trouble
that bitch will bark the whole night long
as though telling the world that you are killing it
you cannot keep it inside your room
it is spreading its scent across the road
and all the males of the neighborhood are sensing
waiting outside the fence
of iron grills
the dog bites the door and so you open it
it slips its body on the iron grills of the fence
and there she gets her own taste of life
surrounded by all the barking males
causing war among themselves
causing so much stir in the neighborhood
as though she is the Helen of Troy
that bitch dog of yours.
