For The Things That You Fear
the things that we
fear sometimes are nothing but shadows
of our hands and feet
and the words of our mouths
and sighs
when we wake up
and go outside the door of the house
naked
we soon find that all these shadows
are nothing but the makings
of the room
when the sun rises
as we bathe in its light
all the fears
are finally gone
we will find ourselves
naked on the grass
and too beautiful to
behold
