For Lorenzo
there is always a choice between
a barong and something more Filipino
but he goes astray
wanting to portray who he really is
a matter of self-expression
he says is important
one asserts to keep one away
from the enslavement of inferiority
in facing the Chief Justice he drives
the main point of his existence
a pink tie, a pouting mouth,
the famous sway of the hip
a la maya angelou.
