For A Friend Who Lived Only For A Short Time
the white butterfly
will always be your metaphor
and it flies one rainy morning
finding shelter in my house
through the window
it passes gets in and rests for a while
it does not wait for sunshine
goes out of the window again
and then goes away like
a distant star dissolving in the black sky
