The Continental Drifters
O my love, unfading rose!
The oceans vast divide us
and we miss each other,
longing for the rains of kisses
and yearning sleepless for a touch.
Though we chat in the nets
and gaze at the expanse of our minds,
through the Google g-mail,
when the happy day will come
to unite us together in this life!
O you locksmith, shut and lock this heart!
Emotions from which burst out
as geysers in beauteous hills
to make me mad and maudlin
and I fear of expiating on love.
O you psychic, don't recite your theories!
You can't trace the hurt felt deep
and hope to heal it with mesmeric charms.
The orphaned star has made me to fantasize
and dream the eternal horizon of lovely love!
O you clairvoyant, you see by your telepathy,
her soulful tunes have merged with those of mine!
Love at first sight in some corner is narrow.
That struck between the hearts of two continents
becomes spiritual and immortal to cherish for long.
