The Oak
The sap has been rising through the veins of this proud forest tree,
today it’s celebrating its return to life by emitting its family.
Every seventh summer solstice its spiritual forces come out to play
with a father, mother and daughter, and in an almost human way.
Together they dance and frolic, never speaking, or making a sound,
emotions go to the oak, where new bonds and strengths are found.
This seven year temporary release of the oak’s wise and earthly spirit
brings renewal and energy to its mass, and to the forces within it.
After hours of play they become drawn back into the oak’s huge heart,
they had been given external life, together as a family and apart.
But now their needs are to reunite again and become combined as one
they know they are ‘the oak’ and have been since their time begun.
