To our own measure
who said it would be
only me
stranded on thoughts
I know there are many
we float we soar we circle we spin
and we pull through
and we press hard
we move along
the edges of extinction
and like everybody else
we eventually die
to be uprooted
replanted
in a forever
forever
forever
of our own liking
to our own measure
each one of us the same
each one of us with a difference
