The Lives We Choose
A life trapped between two sides
braced in oscillation awaiting
inevitable collide
those given the power to help suffering
waking up only to sadly realize
they only have the power to safe themselves
a world governed by the spread of information
text book guidelines smoke grenades
mobile devices and mainstream deception
the all intrusive edge of paranoia
land of laws without trust
downfall of freedom and liberty
price to pay for increased measures of security
alarms and codes to the masses seem confusing
disconcerted dissenters caught in the center
the average person hears his share of the story
is forced to process the thoughts told to think wisely
before choosing to formulate an opinion
to life awakened in the world or
to sleep it off the the side we choose
be our decision
