For Far Too Long I Have Searched For You
For far too long I have searched for you
and when I saw you the first time
there was the sudden recognition
as if I had found a part of myself in you,
as if for ages you have been my companion
and still I know that you are lovely,
that your presence, your voice,
continually draws people nearer
and it's as if I constantly keep remembering you,
as if you are perfect and I know that I am right with this.
